November 11
Read 2 Corinthians 9-10, then Pray Psalm 148. Always use 2 Corinthians 9:7-11 to see how God thinks about money. He owns the universe. We are merely stewards of the gifts He gives to us. Our giving, then, is a response to His love, His grace and His abundance. By faith! Trust Him in this!!!!
November 12
Read 2 Corinthians 11-13, then Pray Psalm 149. Write 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 upon your heart. This reality is completely opposite to the messages of this world. Let these words define your life. Read them often. Ponder them daily. Pray them out loud to Jesus when you hurt. Pray them out loud to Jesus when you laugh. He is with you always, taking your weaknesses and making His power PERFECT in you, in that very weakness.
November 13
Read Galatians 1-2, then Pray Psalm 150. Zoom in on 1:3-4 and then compare with 1:8. Compare with 1:15 as well. This letter is about “THE GOSPEL”. What is it? What is it for? How does it work? Galatians teaches us that Jesus plus anything equals nothing. Jesus plus nothing, well that’s everything! Study the words of Galatians 1 and 2 carefully. See how Paul applied the Gospel in his interactions with Peter when “certain men from James” came (see 2:14). The Gospel sets us free! The entire story culminates in 2:20 and 2:21. In your life, when the evil one comes, recite Galatians 2:20 to him and tell him to get the hell outta here…literally.
November 14
Read Galatians 3-4, then Pray Psalm 1. Take note as you Pray Psalm 1 today how it is reflected in Galatians 3 and 4. Do we believe what we have heard? What does God’s word do? What is the purpose of the Law? The beauty of Psalm 1 is brought to fulfillment in Jesus, which we see on display in Galatians 3 and 4.
November 15
Read Galatians 5-6, then Pray Psalm 2. Write Galatians 5:1 upon your heart. Remember Galatians 5:6 forever. Know that it is the fruit of the Spirit (not of you or me!) which we see in 5:22-23. Verse 25 is how we live our lives. We “keep in step” with the Spirit. Devote your life to this. Cry out to Jesus, He will FREELY give you His Spirit. He will then produce love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This is His promise to you. Chapter 6 then shows us how it plays out on a daily basis…
November 16
Read Ephesians 1-2, then Pray Psalm 3. Ephesians 1 and 2 are so deep and rich and wide, that words cannot describe them. Spend more than just today on them if needed. Don’t worry about the calendar. Spend a few days here if needed. Ponder these words deeply…pray through them…asking Jesus to help you with each paragraph, to ponder what they mean for you as His child and how you can them reflect them into this world (2:8-10).
November 17
Read Ephesians 3-4, then Pray Psalm 4. What would happen if we saw church as Ephesians 3:10-12 describes? Do you think about how when we gather, we are there to announce to “the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms” (which means the evil one and those demonic forces which serve him), the manifold wisdom of God which He accomplished through Jesus?!? But it is not just when we worship that we do this, it is through all the activities of the Church! It is the purpose of the Church! We participate in the advance of the Kingdom of God!
