GLORY & POWER OF THE SPIRIT
1 Cor. 15:42-43 // Your body will be raised in glory and in power! You read that right: YOUR BODY!
1 Cor. 15:44 // Don’t make the mistake of thinking “physical” vs. “spiritual”. Think “empty” vs. “full”. The Greek word for “natural” is psychikos which was used to refer to the mind/soul (and in this context, one who is without the pneuma, that is: the Spirit!)
1 Cor. 15:47,49 // Just as we inherited the brokenness of Adam, we shall inherit the glory of Jesus!
INHERITANCE
1 Cor. 15:50 // Inheritance is based upon who you are!
John 3:5-6 // Being born of the water and the Spirit changes who we are!
Romans 6:3-5 // Christians have different traditions regarding Baptism…but don’t miss this PROMISE of Scripture: When you were baptized, you were united with Christ, in His death and in His Resurrection!
VICTORY
1 Cor. 15:55-57 // Shout these words out when you are hurting, when you are grieving, when you are struggling. Remember: the power of sin is the “law”, which refers to your failure to be righteous. The victory is that which He GIVES to us THROUGH Jesus: The Rescuer!
